Artist info: German artist of Italian origin. Animal, landscape and genre painter (1854 Munich to 1908 Munich), son of the painter Josef Correggio (1810-1891), initially a pupil of his father, studied from 1870 at the Munich Academy under Wilhelm von Diez and Johann Leonhard Raab, participated in the exhibitions at the Munich Glaspalast as well as the State Exhibition in Nuremberg and the Great Art Exhibition in Düsseldorf, member of the Munich Artists' Cooperative, active in Munich, source: Thieme-Becker, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", AKL, Müller-Singer, Bénézit, Matrikel der Münchner Akademie, Bruckmann "Münchner Maler des 19./20th century", Boetticher and Wikipedia.
