Sibling portrait Three siblings aged around ten to three years in lace-adorned clothing in a splendid historicist interior, partly finely worked portrait painting with skilful treatment of light and materiality, oil on canvas, late 19th century, the stretcher on the reverse with details of the sitters (numerous first names), inscribed "Wien" and dated "1901", some minor detachment of the paint layer and losses, retouching, attractively mounted in stucco frames, some of which are gilded or painted black (minimally bumped), rebate dimensions approx. 80 x 90 cm.

Artist information: Austrian portrait, landscape, still life and flower painter (1875 Steinach to 1949 Innsbruck), studied at the art academies in Munich and Vienna from 1892 to 1901, subsequently mainly active in Tyrol, founder of the Tyrolean artists' association "Heimat", memorial exhibition in his honour at the Innsbruck Kunstsalon Kogler in 1949, source: Vollmer und Saur.
