Michel Nedjar (né en 1947) Visages 1995 Mixed media on cardboard, signed, dated and located Paris on back 30 x 21 cm Born in the Val d'Oise region of France to North African and Polish parents, Nedjar began his career helping his grandmother with her second-hand clothes stall at flea markets. On numerous trips to India, Iran and Mexico, Nedjar discovered the folk arts that inspired him, on his return, to bring strange "dolls" to life.
