Pays- Bas début du XVIIIe siècle. Couteau manche en buis sculpté représentant l'Espérance, la Foi et la Charité. Lame en acier à pointe centrée, le manche en buis sculpté des trois vertues dos à dos. L'Espérance tenant dans sa main droite une ancre marine, un oiseau posé sur son bras gauche, la Charité tenant dans ses bras un enfant, deux enfants s'accrochant au bas de sa robe, la Foi tenant de sa main droite la croix. Un lion couché, symbolisant la monarchie, au sommet de leurs têtes. Virole en acier moulurée. Petite restauration à la base de la robe de la Charité. Long. : 23,5 cm Provenance : Antiquités Sujol, Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen. Carved boxwood handle knife representing Hope, Faith and Charity. Low Countries, early 18th century.
