Orléans et Paris, Coutellier, Pissot, Chardon, 1753-1754. 3 volumes in 1 volume in-12 of xl-218-[2] pp. ; [2]-209-[4] pp. ; xii-302 pp. Marbled basane, ornate ribbed spine, title page, red pages (period binding). Binding restored. First edition of the most complete history of Joan of Arc published in the 18th century. Abbé Lenglet-Dufresnoy relied on the original documents from the condemnation and rehabilitation trials. The third part, published in Orléans in 1754, includes testimonials from people who knew La Pucelle. Rare and complete.
