Full jansenist black morocco, 5-rib spine, fillet on edges, inner lace, red edges. Excellent condition. Minor spotting in the text. A frontispiece by Van Orley, engraved by Berterham, and 232 mid-page burin vignettes. This early 18th century illustration is of the highest quality. The vignettes in Volume 1 of the History of the Jews were colorized at a later date. A rare and complete set, of very high printing quality.
