Contemporary red half-chagrin, smooth spine (with false nerves) decorated with fleurons. Minor rubbing to binding, very good condition inside (virtually no foxing, except in the margin of the engraving). Rare first edition, complete with engraved frontispiece by Veyrassat and autograph facsimile outside text.

The translation of the second Faust and some of the German poems are here in the French Original Edition.
