Note: The present work exhibits Flint's technical ability as a draughtsman, particularly in his treatment of fabrics and textures, evoking the crisp folds of the sitter's voluminous skirt set against the smoothness of her skin. Flint appears to have depicted the same model on multiple occasions, with a nude drawing, also entitled 'Hermione', selling at Christie's, London, on 20 November 2003 (£3,500).
