Description

SMALL JEWELRY BOX. Tula Imperial Weapons Factory, Russia, late 19th century. Made of steel, rectangular in shape, resting on four ball feet, with applied decoration on each side of floral motifs, large garlands of garlanded flowers, and two medallions, one of which features the profile of Emperor Alexander III in pewter and copper. The lid is hinged at the front. The inside of the lid is entirely polished, revealing a small beveled mirror in a velvet-upholstered surround. Age wear, oxidation, as is. H.: 6.5 cm - W.: 12 cm - D.: 9 cm
