Descrizione

Vassili Andreyevich VERECHAGUINE (1859-1931) L.A.S. addressed to Denis ROCHE (1868-1951), dated October 1/14, 1916 in Petrograd, Moïka 82.(1859-1931),1/14-1916 ,82. On my return from the Caucasus, I found your two letters and the article on Trediakofsky, which will shortly be inserted in my journal, the issues of which I have sent you. Your explanatory preamble, as well as the letter from our old writer, are full of interest, for which I thank you sincerely. I'd also be very curious to see the unpublished description of Moscow you mentioned. THE correspondence from Paris would only suit me if it had some connection with Russia. As for the archives relating to the triumphal arches, they are not in the journal's portfolio, and I couldn't tell you what happened to them. In the hope, dear Sir, of reading you often in the Russian Bibliophile, I come to ask you to believe me yours truly, B. Verechagin.
