Josef Scheda Cartography - Austrian Empire - Card, Josef - General Karte des oesterreichischen Kaiserstaates Vienna, Militarisch-Geografisches Institut, 1856. Large map consisting of separate plates (49.7x56.7 cm), numbered I, II, III, IV, V, VII, VIII, IX, XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII, XIX, XX plus a small plate consisting of two sheets reproducing the entire map on a smaller scale, each plate consists of 6 sheets (25 x 18.5 cm) copper-engraved with period coloring of boundaries and framed by frame, pasted on cloth. Missing are plates: VI, X, XI, XII, XIII. A few rare small stains. Half-leather and green chagrin slipcase, gilt title and friezes to spine, hinge partially open, minor defects.
