Rectangular box in mother-of-pearl plate and pomponne mount, the tortoiseshell-lined lid inlaid with gilded motifs in a frame depicting figures in a rocaille surround. The inside of the lid engraved with foliage and figures in a reserve. Louis XV period. 3 x 8x 6.5 cm. Welding on one corner, small missing corner on the mother-of-pearl base, slightly mobile shell plate to be refixed. Velvet glides added later.
