Saint Mary, depicted as a little girl with a wreath of rose petals in her hair, is reading from the Bible, which her mother Anna is holding out to her on her lap. Mary's father Joachim has placed his hand on the girl's shoulder. The Latin inscription on the side of the picture quotes the "Proverbs of Solomon". In the oval. (1350672) (10)
