STILL LIFE WITH WATERMELON Oil on canvas. Doubled. 58 x 71 cm. Signed "Giacomo Nani f." lower right. In gilded magnificent frame. Two pewter bowls, one with three glasses, the other deeper bowl with sliced pieces of watermelon, standing before a dark background on a stone slab damaged at the edge. In the middle of the background, a wine bottle wrapped in raffia and another vessel, with a folded, light-colored linen cloth in front of it. High-quality painting, in part with set highlights and skillful staging of light and shadow.
