Non-functional astrolabe, very well executed in chased and engraved brass, comprising the mother, the spider (with incorrect projection), six tympana engraved on one side only, the nail, the horse and the alidade. The inscriptions are in Hebrew. The polylobed throne is openwork with a Star of David, to which a ring is attached. D.147mm In style, this scientific instrument is close to the Hebrew astrolabe in the British Museum, London (inv. 93 6-16 3; CCA 158) of Spanish origin. Very well executed in brass, but with the six tympana engraved on one side only, and an incorrect projection of the spider.
