A SELECTION OF INDIAN TRIBAL ARM ADORNMENTS AN EYE FOR DETAIL: PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE ESTATE IN NORTHERN LONDON Possibly Orissa (Odisha) and Eastern Indian Provinces, 19th century Comprising a pair of steel Naga upper-arm bracelets, incised on the exterior with cross-hatched lines on the body replicating the scales of a snake's skin, and the terminal designed as a snake's head, 7.5cm diam.; another pair of steel upper-arm bracelets, similar in shape to the previous example but less elaborate in terms of design, 7.5cm diam; and an Orissan dhokra bronze cuff bracelet, of tapering conical shape with upward-turned top and bottom, decorated with fretwork bands on the exterior, 6cm diam. and 6.5cm high.
