A small caliber Walther Zella Mehlis self-loader/ repeater Cal. .22lr, SN. 46664, bright bore, length 52 cm. Proof mark crown/"BUG". Five-shot. Fixed rear sight with two flaps. Butt stock safety. Can be used as self-loader or repeater by adjusting the bolt handle. On the receiver marked "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis (Thür.)". Complete, original finish with usage marks. Walnut stock with indicated pistol grip, chequering, both sling swivels and slightly damaged hard rubber butt plate. ZF Pecar 4 x 81. Length 99 cm. Otto Paetz, Sammlung Graphiken consisting of 20 cards with inserted and hand-signed etchings, mostly addressed to the Weimar-based painter Klaus Bose, one unsigned etching and three invitations to exhibitions by the artist, created between 1977 and the end of the 1980s, mostly in good condition, maximum size approx. 12 x 22 cm. Artist info: German painter and graphic artist. Painter and graphic artist (1914 Cunsdorf near Reichenbach/Vogtland to 2006 Zella-Mehlis), 1928-31 apprenticeship as a decorative painter in Reichenbach, 1935-39 studied at the Weimar master school for crafts and applied arts, 1939 master's examination, 1941-45 studied at the Weimar academy and master student of Walther Klemm, then freelance in Weimar, later in Zella-Mehlis, 1962-88 leader of painting and drawing circles, member of the VBK of the GDR, received various honours, including the Art Prize of the City of Weimar in 1963 and the Art Prize of the GDR in 1971, appointed honorary citizen of Reichenbach in 2004, source: Vollmer, Eisold "Artists in the GDR" and Internet.
