A pair of chiselled Eibar luxury-miquelet-pistols, circa 1760 Round, swamped barrels with smooth bores in caliber 18.5 mm. Decorated at the breeches with finely chiselled scrolling leaves on part-gilt base. Finely engraved tangs. Miquelet locks with chiselled and engraved scrolling leaves, the lock plates with partially barely legible signature "Josef" and "Ni...". One pistol with iron belt clip. Full stocks of blackened walnut wood, behind the lock plates nail holes of the missing lock pads. Engraved iron furnitures with one barrel ring each. One original wooden ramrod with ivory tip, the second replaced in wood. Length of either pistol 27.5 cm. Attention: This lot can only be shipped within the European Union. Condition: II

LEBEDA A PRAGUE', fully engraved breech-blocks 'in the white', moulded nipple-bosses, dove-tailed bead fore-sights, adjustable notch rear-sights, the engraved top-tangs numbered '1' and '2' respectively, rococo scroll engraved hump-backed locks with dipped tails signed 'LEBEDA' to pistol No.1 and 'A. PRAGUE' to No.2 and also featuring engravings of lyre-players and nymphs, the detail accentuated in gold, en-suite hammers, walnut half-stocks finely relief-carved with raised rococo scroll-work to the grips and fore-end tips, the grips also with central finely chequered panels, engraved domed butt-caps with central spires, spurred trigger guard bows engraved with the figure of Dionysus holding the staff Thyrsus with a leopard draped over his lap, engraved oval barrel-key escutcheons, both pistols in fine order with much finish remaining and in their maker's presentation mahogany veneered case (some mild lifting and repairs), the case lined and compartmented in the Continental manner in green baize and retaining the complex-shaped ebony lidded compartments with turned bone handles and a full suite of original accessories including horn loading mallet and handled tools, powder flask, Boche, Paris snail capper, mould and loading rods, the exterior with moulded and carved hook close and central lock (with key).

Marboeuf & Cie anlässlich der Präsentation ihrer Neujahrswünsche für 1920 mit verschiedenen Ausführungen von Schachteln für Schokolade, Marrons glacés, feine Bonbons und Luxusparfums. Die meisten Entwürfe sind mit Pochoir koloriert, einige zusätzlich mit Gold geprägt. Während einige Modelle noch im traditionelleren Stil des 19. Jahrhunderts gehalten sind, greifen andere bereits typische Art Déco Elemente der 20er Jahre auf. Die farbleuchtenden Designs sind in verschiedenen Formen gehalten: abgerundet, quadratisch, oval oder rechteckig. Einige sind zudem mit Zierbändern ausgestattet. Die Sammlung beinhaltet Modelle für die großen Namen der damaligen Süßwaren- und Schokoladenindustrie: Au chat noir, Mogol's, E. Maze, F. A. Most of the designs are coloured with pochoir, some additionally embossed with gold. While some models are still in the more traditional style of the 19th century, others already pick up on typical Art Deco elements of the 1920s. The colourful designs come in various shapes: rounded, square, oval or rectangular. Some are also equipped with decorative bands. The collection includes models for the big names of the confectionery and chocolate industry of the time: Au chat noir, Mogol's, E. Maze, F. A. Desarnod, Kohler, Klaus, Confiserie Zurcher, À la petite bergère as well as for well-known perfumers such as Lydès, Gueldy, Silva, Selfridge London, Parfumerie Ninon, Gilot, Rigaud and Gabilla. The Parisian firm Marboeuf & Cie was specialised in art publishing and luxury cardboard boxes. - Partly minimally rubbed. One design with marginal tear. Well preserved and with strong colours.
