Description
The estate of a French officer's family, 19th/20th century Sword M 1882 with biconvex blade, the maker's signature of Chatellerault 1910 at the base, nickel silver hilt with horn grip, nickel-plated steel scabbard (corroded), length 104 cm. Comes with two photos of the wearer (copies) and driver's license as well as two orders of the Legion of Honour of the Republic (enamel chipped), one of them in a case with the wearer's name as well as an empty case of the Knight's Cross of the Legion of Honor. In addition (also from other bearers of the family) two bronze crosses and two bronze medals of the First World War, three medals as shooting awards in the original blue cases and two Ordre National du Merite 1963, as well as a reproduction of the Ordre de l'Extrême Orient d'Indochine and a Médaille coloniale. Slightly damaged in places, signs of wear and age. Provenance: Directly from family ownership. Condition: II
