A Thuringian pewter-mounted faience jug with deer, dated 1769 Faience, pewter-mounted. Manganese-asphalted ground on the reverse. Hot-fire decoration in blue, red, yellow and blue: deer between stylized plants, shellwork on the sides. Domed pewter lid with engraving "H-P-AB 1769". Lid with repair. Glaze with chips, foot ring replaced. Dimensions 26.5 x 16 x 13.2 cm. Condition: II - III
