Two masks of the Baule/Yaure from the Ivory Coast, 20th century Two hand-carved wooden masks. A thin shrinkage crack from the crown to the eyelid on the polychrome-painted mask of the Yaure, the impressive, dark patinated mask of the Baule cracked in two places and well repaired, also pierced to the right of the crown. Each with holes on the sides and somewhat rubbed. Length 24 and 31 cm. Condition: II -
