A faience ushabti with nine-line hieroglyphic inscription, 26th Dynasty (Saite Period), mid-1st millennium B.C.. Mummiform ushabti made of faience with a dark green, lustrous glaze. Head with wig and beard, the arms crossed in front of the chest, holding a flail and a crook. Below which is the nine-line inscription, separated by horizontal lines. The inscription names Psamtik, son of Meri Neith, a royal scribe. Apart from minor spalling of the glaze on the lower left of the pedestal and the back of the left elbow, in fine condition. Attractive ushabti of a high official during the Saite Period. Mounted on a wooden base. Height without wooden base 18.7 cm, including the base 21.2 cm.
