Very large khabiyya jar, Morocco, Fez, early 20th century Earthenware baluster jar with cylindrical base and rounded shoulder, decorated with polychrome painted friezes of horseshoe arches enclosing plant compositions of palmettes. Between these friezes are hexagonal or pentagonal medallions filled with checkerboards or stylized pomegranate seeds.
