SOUVENIR DU GRAND TOUR, in the style of Obelisk in red marble, surmounted by a leafy sphere, supported by four ormolu turtles, on a square base of gray and veined marble. Late 19th, early 20th century. H. 55 cm. Slight accidents. This model is reminiscent of designs by Luigi Valadier, notably for the Bailli de Breteuil, circa 1778, now in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.
