Measurements: 45 x 38.5 mm (case without crown). The Tissot Research IDEA 2001 was launched in 1972 as an economical mechanical watch to fight against quartz. The Caliber 2250 movement is hermetically sealed is mostly self-lubricating plastic. Surprisingly, the only metal parts are the keyless mechanism, pivots, balance and springs.
