PROVENANCE Artist's studio NOTICE Janine Mongillat is a recognized artist in the contemporary art world. She was born into a family of artists and grew up surrounded by art and creativity. It was this environment that awakened her passion for art from an early age. Janine developed her artistic skills by exploring various forms of artistic expression, including sculpture and painting. She studied art at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, refining her technique and developing her unique style. Sayed Haider Raza, a renowned Indian painter, played an important role in Janine's life. They met at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, sharing a common love of art and creativity. Their relationship deepened over time and they eventually decided to marry. Their union created a unique artistic synergy. Janine was influenced by Sayed Haider Raza's style and techniques, while he was inspired by Janine's artistic vision. They shared many creative moments together, encouraging each other to push the boundaries of their artistic expression. "I had the good fortune to meet Janine Mongillat along the way. In 1950, we shared the same studio at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. She was beautiful, but I hardly dared approach her. At the time, I looked like shit, wearing old clothes and socks with holes in them, because I spent all my money on the best colors. We stayed in touch for several years. We talked about painting, without daring to go any further. But little by little, our bond intensified. Until one day, after the critics' prize that improved our material situation, I asked her to marry me.
