AN UNUSUAL WOOD NETSUKE OF A LONG-EARED RABBIT Unsigned Japan, 19th century The well-rounded netsuke carved as a stylized recumbent hare with incised fur and trailing long ears, meekly gazing to one side, as it scratches its ear with its paw. Generously excavated himotoshi to the underside. LENGTH 5.5 cm Condition: Good condition with minor wear, some abrasions, and tiny nicks to the wood.
