A RARE WOOD OKIMONO OF A CAT GEISHA AND CLIENT Unsigned Japan, second half of 19th century Finely carved as a cat geisha dressed in a typical kimono and with one forepaw raised in a dancing posture, her cat client curled up around her feet. The eyes are minute inlays of dark horn. HEIGHT 11 cm Condition: Good condition with minor wear and a repair to the left ear of the reclining cat.
