A SIX -PANEL FOLDING SCREEN Japan, Meiji period 179,7 x 375 cm A beautiful, vivid depiction of a flock of white herons resting by a pond. On the shore of the pond a rock with bamboo and a bare weeping willow with two herons resting in its branches. Ink and colour on a golden ground, two seals at upper right. From a German private collection, acquired prior to 2007 - Minor wear, partly only few damages, slightly rest.
