Tortoiseshell tabatiere, gold piqué probably France, mid 18th century, curved body made of translucent tortoiseshell, hinged lid, richly decorated all round with filigree chiselled gold inlays, these show lavish chinoiseries, framed by ornamental bands, inlays partially detached, signs of age, dimensions 2 x 6.5 x 5 cm.
