17th century Flemish school San Corrado Confalonieri Oil on copper 22x17 cm - with frame 33x29.5 cm San Corrado, born into the noble Confalonieri family of Piacenza, after his conversion he retired to a hermitage near Calendasco. Right at his refuge he is portrayed in this delightful copper, where the Saint is immersed in reading the Holy Scriptures, while holding a rosary in his hand. In the background a magnificent lush landscape opens up.
