By inheritance: "Friends of Pavel Tchelitcheff" Collection. History Geoffrey Gorer (1905-1985), was a British writer, anthropologist and psychologist. He is known for his contributions to the fields of social anthropology, psychology and sociology. A true pioneer in the study of sexuality, intercultural relations, human behavior and social norms, he was also a close friend of Tchelitchew. London's Tate Modern holds a portrait of G. Gorer's mother, painted in 1930.
