Map after Petrus Plancius published in Tours by BOUGUEREAU. Title cartouche with Henri IV's coat of arms. The "Théâtre francoys" is the first printed atlas of the provinces of France, and includes three general maps of France and 16 maps of the French provinces. The general maps are by Petrus Plancius, Jean Jolivet and Guillaume Postel. Some of these maps were used by Leclerc and Boisseau until the mid-17th century.
