[MANUSCRIT - NUCHÈZE] - Genealogy of the house of Nuchese in Poitou. To which are joined the summary Genealogies of several Houses allied by marriages to cellecy. The whole collected and put in order by Nicolas de Sainte-Marthe. [In fine:] Completed descrire by Philibert Lardenchet 1646. Calligraphy manuscript of the middle of the XVIIth century in a small volume in-folio, speckled calf, triple gilt fillet framing the plates, fleuron at the corners, spine with ornamented nerves, inscription at the head and at the foot, red morocco title-piece (binding of the XVIIIth century). Unpublished manuscript including a title, ten ff. non num. (including a second title), 210 pp. 33 pp. ill-num. and 7 ff. not num. A title decorated with a small heraldic figure drawn in ink at the foot, a large heraldic figure, also in ink, and 44 small ones. The work is dedicated to Monseigneur Jacques de Nucheze Evesque Comte de Chalon [...] & Pair de France. Genealogical tables, including those of the following allied families: Beaumanoir de Lavardin, Arpajon de Séverac, Créquy, Saulx de Tavannes, Saint-Gelais de Lanzac, Turpin de Crissé, Brizay de Beaumont, Laval de Boisdauphin, Puydufou de Combronde, Chabannes de Curton de La Palisse, Chasteigner de La Rochepozay, Cathus des Granges, L'Aunay d'Onglée, Issoré d'Ervault, Montalambert, Frémiot, Rabutin de Chantal, Des Francs, Jourdain de L'Isle & Buffeteau de L'Aleu. The spine bears, at the head and foot on two pieces of green morocco, the following inscription: MSS // St Mart . Four bookplates and a handwritten ex-dono from the 17th and 18th centuries on the second title. Small accident due to ink work on f. 161/162.

André du Chesne (1584-1640, born in Touraine, was a geographer and historiographer to the King, author of historical works and genealogies of the great houses of the kingdom (Saffroy I, 10749). Handwritten bookplate "Ex bibl[ioteca] Fuliens[ium] Paris[iensis] S. Bernardi" (library of the royal monastery of Saint-Bernard des Feuillants in Paris), small black wet stamp of this monastery and handwritten mention "Ex dono autoris" on the title. Boards stamped with the monastery's fleur-de-lysées coat of arms. Early 19th c. handwritten bookplate on title page: "François-Charles-Antoine du Faure-Basillier acquis à Paris en 1805". A fine copy.
