BOL DE HAMMAM (TÂS) EN TOMBAK
TURKEY, OTTOMAN ART, late 17th-early 18th CENTURY
A gilded copper (tombak) bowl with twisted gadrooned sides and a vertical neck. The bowl is embellished with blue, turquoise, white and green enamelled cabochons, forming nine enamelled rosettes on the gadroons and the neck, and a central rosette, gilding partially faded, enamels partially missing, one rosette sunken.
