BEAUSSANT LEFEVRE - €762,500 for a Resting elephant by Rembrandt BUGATTI

On Wednesday 20 June, the 20th century sale organised by auction house Beaussant Lefèvre totalled €1,5M (incl. premium).
Leading the sale were a Resting elephant of India by Rembrandt BUGATTI (1884-1916) which reached €762,500 (incl. premium) and The little Saint John by Berthe MORISOT (1841-1895) from the former collection of Julie Manet which realised €181,250 (incl. premium).
Works by Olivier DEBRÉ (1920-1999) also sold well, as shown by The dimple, a 1957 oil on canvas that achieved €68,750 (incl. premium).
