Binoche et Giquello - On Thursday 11 April, in a Natural History sale by auction house Binoche et Giquello at Drouot, a battle between the two dinosaurs ended with €1,4M each.
Leading the sale, the 3-meter high and 12-meter long diplodocus reached €1,443, 820 € (including premium). The juvenile allosaurus, measuring 3,8m long was sold for €1,407,700 (including premium). These results largely exceeded the estimates of the specimens, respectively estimated between €450,000-550,000 and €550,000-650,000.
Acquired on DrouotDigital by a unique bidder, a foreign private collector, these two 145 million years old animals benefited from the 21st century technologies. The live bidding highlights the interest of a new generation of Jurassic periods connoisseurs.
