On 4 and 5 June, auction house Morand & Morand will offer important works of art from the publishing house. Celebrated for their level of requirements and originality, the Éditions de la Différence have published 2,000 books and the work of 960 writers and 350 artists in 40 years.
Original prints and an ensemble of unique works signed by the greatest names of modern art - Pierre Alechinsky, Arman, Miquel Barcelo for Michel Butor, Robert Combas, Olivier Debré, Paul Delvaux, André Derain, Niki de Saint-Phalle, Jean Dubuffet, Eileen Gray, René Magritte, Jean-Luc Parant, Julio Pomar, Sayed Haider Raza, Sacha Sosno, Luc Tuymans, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva and others – will be featured at auction.

Joaquim Vital (1948-2010), a poet from Lisbon, founded this publishing house in 1946 with the art critique Marcel Paquet (1947-2014), and the sponsorship of art historian and poet Patrick Waldberg (1913-1985). Colette Lambrichs (born in 1946), a novelist from Brussels and Joaquim Vital’s companion, joined the adventure a few months later. The 50 works published each year gather French and foreign literature, poetry, essays and art books. This house enables French readers to discover authors from Maghreb, Latin America, Eastern Europe and China.
This sale, accessible to all connoisseurs, collectors and professionals, is a great opportunity to acquire an original, numbered and signed art work from a contemporary artist -chosen by the publishing house-. The multiple engravings, lithographs, etchings and screen prints will be offered at auction individually but with the possibility of gathering an ensemble.
