This type of glazing is one of the characteristics of Ge ware, which is thought to have been produced in the Hangzhou region Provenance: private collection in Pennsylvania. During the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD), crackle became a highly sought-after decorative technique, and it was used to create intricate and beautiful designs on ceramics and lacquer ware. Dimensions: H: 17 1/4 in., (44 cm.) The vase is in very good condition.
