Unit mark on the lower guard SA region. NS-Lower Saxony. Metal scabbard painted brown with device made of white metal. Polished steel blade, double-edged cross-section rhombic. Germany - Third Reich Christmas Dagger of the Stormtroopers - Weihnachtdolch 1933 This lot is sent from our warehouse in Berlin; This dirk was approved on December 15, 1933 at the headquarters of the SA along with the uniform assault squads. At Christmas 1933 it was sent out to the highest SA officers. A distinctive feature of this dagger is the imperial eagle in the handle. Which was the emblem of the assault troops. On all other statutory daggers were later fitted with a standard eagle. The motto is written on the blade in a special font that was never repeated. The main feature is the shape of the letter A, which in Gothic the inscriptions were no longer repeated. Thus, this dagger became the prototype of the SA uniform daggers and SS model 1933.
