Measurements: 85 x 42 x 57.5 cm. Richard Hutten was inspired by architect Berlage's throne chair, created for the Dutch Van Hengel family in 1911. Its main feature is that the back of the chair extends to the back legs. Combining industrial creation techniques for the structure and artisanal techniques for the weaving of the seat using hand-tied straps, the finish is unique and unrepeatable. This chair is in the collections of the Gemeentemuseum The Hague and the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam. Richard Hutten opened his studio in Rotterdam after graduating from the Design Academy of Eindhoven in 1991.
