Er studierte in seiner Heimatstadt an der Großherzoglich Badischen Kunstschule Malerei und war anfangs in Berlin, ab 1899 in München tätig. - Einige wenige, sehr unscheinbare Braunfleckchen. Mounted in spots on backing and under passepartout, framed under glass. - Verso with stamp of the Meggendorfer Blätter with handwritten name of the artist and inventory number. - Finely executed drawing for the satirical magazine named after its founder and illustrator Lothar Meggendorfer (1847-1925), which was published from 1889 to 1928 under different titles. - Carl Becker (1862 - before 1935) was a portrait and genre painter from Karlsruhe as well as an illustrator of military art. He studied painting in his hometown at the Grand Ducal School of Art in Baden and was active initially in Berlin and from 1899 in Munich. - A few very inconspicuous brown spots. Very good condition.
