A Chinese celadon jade 'duck and lotus' carving
The piece is carved in the round as a duck with its wings folded and head turned backwards holding a lotus spray, its stem carved in openwork leading to an upturned leaf supporting the duck. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with light russet tinges to on the leaf.
Provenance: From the collection of Mr. J.E. Vaandrager.
Condition: Appears to be in overall good condition, apart from small nicks to the extremities.
