Pyramidal silver case with vertical and crosswise enamels in shades of white, white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and gold hour markers, featuring the inscriptions "Maquet - 10 Rue De La Paix - Paris". Key winding. On the bottom of the case, the complete calendar in French, including the month, day of the week and date. Hallmarked with the "Boar's Head" mark, a small guarantee for silver items used in France since 1838 and with the diamond-shaped mark of the silversmith. Maquet was a French watchmaking and clockmaking firm founded in 1828 in Paris. Renowned for its luxury timepieces and high-quality craftsmanship, Maquet became well-regarded in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
