Father-in-law of the universal Master of the Spanish Baroque Don Diego de Velázques, his painting, sweetly made and undoubtedly Mannerist that drank from the flamenco artistic currents that arrived in Seville at the time, softened somewhat after his trip to Madrid, El Escorial and Toledo, in 1611. The knowledge of the royal collections and the painting of El Greco had to influence the improvement of the treatment of the coloring and the modeling of his works, allowing its preponderance in the Seville of the time until shortly before 1630. It was at those times when Pacheco's art entered into clear decline as he could not compete with the new painters who dominated the Sevillian scene, such as Zurbarán or Herrera the Elder Measurements: 65 x 50 cm, measurements with frame: 75 x 60 cm.
