In-8 di li-(1) pp. (fx-titolo, titolo, prefazione, personaggi e abbigliamento della commedia, approvazione, permesso di stampa), 199 pp. (1) p. (approvazione), (1) p. (errata). Marocchino rosso giansenista, dorso scanalato, titolo, data e luogo dorati, pizzo interno, bordi dorati (Petit, successore di Simier). Ristampa dell'edizione originale, stampata lo stesso anno a Kehl con gli stessi caratteri usati per il Voltaire e con le stesse 5 belle figure incise da SAINT-QUENTIN (ma più grandi e incise da Lienard, Halbou e Lingé), qui completa del rarissimo foglio di errata corrige e arricchita da due ritratti di Beaumarchais in frontespizio, di cui uno prima della lettera. Entrambi i ritratti sono foxed, ma è un esemplare molto bello in una bella legatura di Petit (Tchemerzine II, 16).
