Boulle Clock with Shelf Height: 148 cm Width: 57 cm Depth: 25,5 cm Antique hanging clock in chiselled and gilded bronze, tortoiseshell panelling and brass inlay. Marked THURET PARIS in Louis XV style. Resting on wall-anchored shelf. Wooden case and shelf decorated with gilded bronze applications with plant motifs and leaf volutes. Gilded bronze shows the hours in enamelled metal with Roman numerals. The clock is surmounted by an angel with a trumpet and the pendulum bears the effigy of the Sun King.Early 19th century.
