PUCCINI, Giacomo (1858-1924). An autograph letter and postcard. Torre del Lago: 10-16 July 1915. 'E sia così, aboliamo il vecchio e attendo il nuovo' (Let it be so, let us abolish the old and wait for the new): in these two letters of July 1915 Puccini converses with a collaborator of the Officine Ricordi in charge of renewing his passport, not quite managing to hide his impatience. Even great masters succumb to bureaucratic difficulties. Letter (245 x 155mm), postcard (88 x 140mm). Good overall condition. (2)
