Complete series of four aquatints by Eleanor Lay forming a detailed view of the 'Old Steine', the Brighton promenade, as it appeared in 1788. Eleanor May was a saleswoman and printer who had a very famous shop right on the Steine; the original watercolours of this set of views are kept at the Brighton Museum. 4 watercoloured engraved views, (445 x 605mm).
