A worn but genuine copy of this richly illustrated treatise covering and representing much of the European architectural knowledge of the period, from the monuments of ancient Rome to new trends in suburban villas, churches, as well as doors, fireplaces and decorations. 4to, (230 x 165mm). Seven divisional titles within woodcut architectural borders, numerous woodcuts in the text, some double-page (lacking A4 with dedicatory sonnet; stains, trimmed at margins with loss of text to some commentary and running titles).
